Crunchy, Chewy, Perfect
After a long day of hunting or exploring the outdoors, nothing hits the spot quite like a warm, gooey chocolate chip cookie. These are easy to make and impossible to resist—just the way we like them at the lodge.
Instructions
- Cream the butter with both sugars until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Add in the egg, vanilla, and salt—mix until fully combined.
- Slowly incorporate flour, starch, baking soda, chocolate chips, and
- walnuts.
- Let the dough rest for 10 minutes.
- Form 10 small dough balls and place on a baking sheet.
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Bake for 12 minutes, or until edges are slightly golden and centers
remain soft.
Tip: Let them cool slightly before serving for that perfect gooey bite

- 1 tbsp starch (for added softness)
- 11⁄2 cups chocolate chips
