Clothing tips for weather variations

  • Layered clothing: Córdoba’s climate can vary, especially between morning and
afternoon. Bring layers you can easily add or remove.
  • Camouflage (optional): Not mandatory, but neutral tones or camo patterns can
help you blend into the environment.
  • Proper footwear: Waterproof and comfortable boots are a must, as you may
walk across uneven or damp terrain.

Personal items and travel essentials

  • Documentation: Passport, hunting license (if applicable), and any required
    permits.
  • Personal medication: While we provide a basic first aid kit, bring any prescribed
    medications you need.
  • Toiletries: The lodge provides essentials, but you’re welcome to bring your
    preferred products.

Bringing Your Own Shotgun to Argentina — Firearms Import Process

Bringing your own shotgun is straightforward if you know the rules in advance. Here’s exactly what you need to do:

Over & Under shotguns No permit required to enter Argentina. Just declare it at customs upon arrival.

Semi-automatic shotguns You must obtain a gun entry permit from your local Argentine Consulate before traveling. Do not leave this for the last minute — allow at least 2 weeks.

Airport fees

  • Flying into Córdoba (COR) directly: H&H handles all paperwork at no extra cost.
  • Flying through Buenos Aires (EZE): $500 per gun (entry + exit fee). Allow at least 45 minutes at the airport for registration.

How many guns can I bring? Up to 3 guns per person for hunting purposes.

Can I bring my own ammunition? No. Argentine regulations prohibit importing ammunition. H&H provides RD and Active shells, number 7.5 shot, in 12, 20, 28 and 410 gauge — unlimited supply included in your package.

Not sure about your specific situation? Contact H&H before your trip and we’ll guide you through the entire process.

Tips from seasoned hunters

  • Protect your shoulder: Consider a padded vest or shooting pad to reduce recoil
    impact.
  • Stay hydrated: We provide beverages, but it’s smart to keep a water bottle
    handy in the field.
  • Get proper rest: Hunting days can be intense—good sleep will help you stay
    sharp and energized.
