How Much Does It Cost to Hunt Dove in Argentina? A Four-Day Estimate

Blog / Hunter resources / How Much Does It Cost to Hunt Dove in Argentina? A Four-Day Estimate

A four-day dove hunt in Argentina with H&H Outfitters costs from US$ 3,740 per hunter at La Porteñita or Escondido and from US$ 4,740 at Guayascate. That estimate includes four hunting days in a single room, with lodging, meals and drinks, ground transfers, your hunting guide, the hunting license, gun rental and your personal bird boy.

What it does not include is the part you control: your shells, plus the domestic flight and tips. Below you will find what the estimate covers, what sits outside it and the shell math, so you can build your own budget before you ask for a quote. All figures are per person, in US dollars, and current as of October 2026.

What does a four-day Argentina dove hunt cost?

A four-day hunt costs from US$ 3,740 to US$ 4,740 per hunter, depending on the lodge, with the hunting license, gun rental and bird boy included, before shells, flights and tips.

  • La Porteñita: from US$ 3,740. A 1930 estancia with 9 rooms for up to 16 hunters.
  • Escondido: from US$ 3,740. Eight rooms for up to 16 hunters, operated with the Badra family, with both dove and pigeon shooting.
  • Guayascate: from US$ 4,740. Our flagship lodge, with 10 rooms for up to 20 hunters, a spa, an infinity pool and a wine cellar. It is one of two lodges in the world with Beretta Three Trident status.

Our standard program is four days: arrival with an afternoon shoot, three full days in the field and a final morning shoot before departure. It can be adjusted to your dates and to the number of days you want to hunt. You can compare the three lodges in detail on the Guayascate, La Porteñita and Escondido pages.

What is included in the estimate?

  • Lodging in a single room. Single rooms are available at all three lodges, so traveling on your own does not limit your choice.
  • Meals and drinks, from breakfast to the asado lunch in the field and dinner at the lodge.
  • Ground transfers, from your pickup at Córdoba airport to the daily drives to the fields.
  • A guide who leads the group in the field.
  • Your hunting license, which we process for you. Our guide to the Argentina hunting license and guns explains how it works.
  • Gun rental, with Beretta and Benelli shotguns ready at the lodge.
  • A bird boy assigned to you for each hunting day, who loads your gun, counts your shells and keeps you shooting. His daily payment is part of the estimate and is paid in cash, directly to him.

What is not included?

Three things sit outside the estimate, and only the first one really moves your total.

  • Shells, which you buy at the lodge: you only pay for the boxes you open.
  • The domestic flight to Córdoba. You can book a commercial flight yourself, or fly with Feeling Air, our own charter operation, with a Cessna Grand Caravan EX, a Cirrus SR22 and a Pilatus PC-12 PRO. We offer direct flights from Buenos Aires or Córdoba, quoted separately: see Fly With Us.
  • Tips for the lodge and field staff, at your discretion and paid in cash.

Why do shells move the total more than anything else?

Because you pay by the box and you decide the volume. At US$ 20 per box of 25, each shell costs US$ 0.80, so every 1,000 shells adds US$ 800 to your bill.

Most guests shoot between 1,000 and 4,000 shells per day, depending on skill level and preference. This is what that range costs per day:

  • 1,000 shells: 40 boxes, US$ 800
  • 2,000 shells: 80 boxes, US$ 1,600
  • 3,000 shells: 120 boxes, US$ 2,400
  • 4,000 shells: 160 boxes, US$ 3,200

Over four days, the difference between 1,000 and 2,000 shells a day is US$ 3,200. Your bird boy keeps count of every shell you fire, so if you want to hold a budget, decide on a daily number before you head to the field.

What can change the estimate?

A few choices raise or lower the figure, and we price each one with your quote.

  • Sharing a room with another member of your group lowers the cost per hunter.
  • Bringing your own shotgun removes gun rental from your quote, although the import permit carries its own consular fee, and a gun cleaning service may apply at the lodge.
  • A companion who does not hunt, or a rest day for you, has its own non-hunting rate.
  • More or fewer days in the field than our standard four-day program.
  • Exclusive use of a lodge, if your group wants an entire lodge to itself.
  • Pigeon shooting at Escondido, with a limit of 200 pigeons per hunter per day.

How do I get an exact quote?

Tell us your dates, the size of your group, your preferred lodge and room type, and whether you will rent or bring your own guns. We will send you a quote for your trip, ready to compare with any other lodge you are considering. Request your quote here.

Final thought: the best dove hunt in Argentina ends with stories from the field, not surprises on the bill, and that starts with knowing what your trip will cost before you book.
