What Hunters Say About La Porteñita
"The five of us had a splendid four days of shooting. There were plenty of dove and a great session of pigeon too. Pato's field team were efficient and humorous. Daniela's house team provided fantastic drinks and food — the laundry service magicked away your clothes and returned them in a blink of an eye. We will be back soon."

"Trip of a lifetime for my adult son and me. The staff treats you like family (except you don't have to do the dishes!). The food is exceptional, prepared on site by professional chefs. The bird boys keep handing you a loaded gun, and the birds just keep coming and coming. Highly, highly recommend."

FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions — La Porteñita Lodge
01 Is La Porteñita a good choice for first-time Argentina dove hunters?
Yes — La Porteñita is widely considered the ideal first-time lodge in the H&H portfolio. It's the closest property to Córdoba Airport (50 minutes), operates a February–October dove season, and has the longest track record of any H&H lodge, open since 1996. The all-inclusive structure and fully managed logistics mean first-timers can focus entirely on the experience.
02 How far is La Porteñita from Córdoba Airport?
Approximately 50 minutes from Córdoba International Airport (Ingeniero Aeronáutico Ambrosio L. V. Taravella, COR) by ground transfer on paved road. It is the closest H&H lodge to the airport. An H&H representative meets your group at arrivals and handles the complete transfer.
03 What months can I dove hunt at La Porteñita?
La Porteñita offers excellent dove shooting from February through October — the widest seasonal window of any H&H lodge. Peak months are March through August. H&H plants crops exclusively for doves using no-till methods and rotates fields throughout the season, maintaining quality well outside the traditional peak period.
04 How many hunters can stay at La Porteñita at once?
Up to 16 hunters across 9 rooms — 6 in the main colonial house and 3 in a separate private villa. The lodge is reserved exclusively for one group at a time. No shared spaces with other parties.
05 What is included in the all-inclusive package at La Porteñita?
Accommodation, all meals (breakfast, in-field asado lunch, and gourmet dinner), wines and spirits, field transportation in air-conditioned luxury vans, and laundry service. Airport transfers are coordinated by the H&H team. Optional massage service available at additional cost.
06 What makes La Porteñita different from Guayascate and Escondido?
La Porteñita is H&H's original lodge, operating since 1996 in a working Argentine estancia built in 1930, with a February–October dove season. Guayascate is Beretta Three Trident rated. Escondido offers pigeon hunting alongside dove in western Córdoba. See rating and history sources.
