The Eared Dove is Córdoba's signature game bird. H&H schedules morning and afternoon field sessions and selects fields according to current bird movement and conditions.
Each hunter is assigned field staff, and the itinerary includes a midday break before the afternoon session. Exact schedules vary by lodge, season, and field location.

Sunflower Season
Our famous Sunflower Season offers some of the most comfortable and productive hunting of the year. During these months, many of our hunting fields are located just 5 minutes from the lodge, allowing hunters to maximize their time in the field and minimize travel time.
Escondido Pigeon and Dove Periods
Pigeon shooting is offered from late March through early August alongside dove shooting at Escondido, and September through February as a dove period. Confirm current dates, conditions, and applicable regulations through the contact page.
Morning Session
Each hunter gets their own bird boy for the full day, handling shells, loading under H&H's two-gun system, retrieving downed birds, and keeping cold drinks within reach.
The Argentine Asado — Lunch in the Field
The group gathers in a shady grove for a traditional Argentine asado: grilled meats, fresh salads, gourmet desserts, Argentina's finest wines, fields visible around you. Guests mention it as often as the shooting.
Afternoon Session
The afternoon may move to natural roost sites. H&H generally lists sessions through about 6 PM; location and timing vary by date and field conditions.

H&H's two-gun rotation system eliminates reloading downtime entirely: you shoot one gun while your bird boy loads the second, so a loaded gun is always in your hands. It's the difference between shooting and watching.

What to Wear in the Field
In the field: shorts or pants in natural colors, long or short-sleeved shirts in light green, brown, or camouflage. Gloves and ear protection are strongly recommended. At the lodge, there is no dress code — casual attire throughout.

03 What rental guns does H&H offer?
H&H has more than 200 guns available across the lodges: Benelli Montefieltro Semiautomatic and Beretta Silver Pigeon Over & Under, all 20 gauge, with some 28 gauge Beretta Over & Unders also available. H&H provides two guns per hunter per day for the two-gun rotation system. Stock extensions, shorter stocks, and shoulder pads are available on request. Left-handed hunters should contact H&H in advance.
04 Do I need a visa to travel to Argentina?
United States, Canadian, and Australian passport holders do not need a tourist visa for stays of up to 90 days. See the Argentine government's visa-exemption list.
05 Is there a minimum number of days or hunters required?
There is no minimum. You can arrive alone or with a large group, and stay for a single day or a full week. Most H&H trips are 3 to 4 shooting days. Lodge availability and exclusive-use options vary by property — contact H&H to discuss your group size and preferred dates.
06 How far is the drive to the hunting fields?
Drive times range from 5 to 50 minutes depending on the lodge and the season. During the grain field season, La Porteñita's fields are immediately across from the lodge — approximately 10 minutes. Guayascate has fields planted directly around the property. All transport is in air-conditioned 15-passenger vans with cold refreshments and two-way radios.
