I can't say enough great things about our trip. I can't remember having a better trip to
Argentina. Each year it just gets better and better. THANK YOU!
We LOVED Guayascate, as always! Can't tell you how much we appreciate the extra effort you
put into the details of making our stay the best it could be. Not only is the service of
your staff exceptional......but the facility looks like it did when we first started
coming.....spotless! I loved the extra special touches with the leather passport holders
and chimichurri recipe jar. Both will get used for sure! You pay so much attention to
things that our group liked....even going out of your way to get the mini photo printer
and putting pictures of us in the guest book. I loved that! The hunting was excellent and
Argentino was professional and courteous, as always. Our kids loved shooting....and
Guayascate as a whole. I had asked on the last day if the dining staff could come out and
sit with us, and that meant so much that they could do that. We really enjoyed getting to
sit and talk with them. The food and wine was 5 star quality, and so was the presentation.
Alejandro and Fernando went out of their way to meet everyone's requests. Luis, Francisco,
Mariano, and Zeke's family were so accommodating driving us (even when we asked them to
stop the van and use the restroom). I don't think I've ever had a better massage.
Florencia knew exactly what I needed and was so delicate, but intentional in how she kept
the experience relaxing and enjoyable. The cleaning staff had our room pristine each time
we came back. Our laundry was always done and they even went out of their way to clean my
shoes and iron my dress. The music performance was the best it's ever been. The performers
made it personal and incorporated Ryan and Christianna into their act. I loved how
laid-back and interactive it was.

So where to begin, I literally cannot rate the trip highly enough. Ok the weather was very
British but these things happen, not much to be done about that! Everything else though
was even better than I could have hoped. The staff were all charming, the facilities

I have been coming to Sierra Verde at least once a year for the past 15 years. Without

watched Edgar, Carlolo, and Pato grow to be accomplished professionals. They are like sons

Nothing could have been better!
Nothing could have been better! My wife, Karen, came with me this year and she said it was
the most relaxing week she has ever had. The lodge was great again and I cannot think of
any way to improve it. Enzo and the kitchen staff pulled off what I did not think was
possible, the food was even better this year. The hunting was great and Pato and Calolo
did a masterful job of putting us on the birds. Sebastian was my bird boy for the 4th or
5th year running and I could not ask for someone more dedicated to making my experience
great. Everyone gets 5 stars out of five. Daniela, Javier, Olga, and all the staff made
our visit very memorable. Thanks for a another great trip and we will see you next year.

I think this was my 13th year with HYH; my 4th or 5th year at La Porteñita. The service,
the attention to detail, the wonderful staff, the incredible dove shooting... it's “Heaven
on Earth”. I honestly can't see any room for improvement. If anything, Chef Enzo upped his
culinary game this year. The food was fantastic! Daniella escorted our wives around town
and showed them a great time in Jesus Maria. Pato & Calolo put us on the kind of birds we
love...fast and sporty in the wind. The field lunches were wonderful as usual! The staff
at La Porteñita are the best and have become friends over the years. What else can I say?

It is hard to really express how special this trip really was
I have just returned to London after an incredible trip at Guayascate Lodge. Myself and
Malcolm have hunted birds all over the world and we both agreed that the experience with
HYH in Cordoba was the best trip we've ever had. The lodge was fantastic, beautifully
designed with large comfortable rooms in a stunning location. The dining room & wine room
made for perfect dinner settings and we loved the outside area by the fire to relax after
dinner and enjoy a whisky and cigar. The food at the lodge was top quality, and the
variation in meats was really fun. Everything was tasty and cooked to perfection. We loved
the steaks and the grilled baby goat was a real treat. The wines were delicious and were
well chosen to compliment the food. The hunting was a new experience for all of us. Whilst
the pure volume of birds was quite astonishing, the variety of locations and blinds made
every hunt a unique experience. We had to travel about 1.5 hrs to the birds but this was
really not a problem for us, and we all know that hunting can be unpredictable at times.
We were never disappointed. All the individual components were terrific, but the
experience was made truly special by Francisco and the hunt assistants. I simply cannot
praise them sufficiently. They made the trip so memorable for us, that I would like to
book our trip for next year and reserve exactly the same team. Francisco was the best
professional hunter I have ever met, and his cooking skills were very impressive. The
lunches in the fields were simply awesome !! He is a legend. The hunt assistants were
incredibly skilled &professional, but also brilliant company and great fun. They went out
of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience. I give them all 10 out of 10.
We really bonded well with the guys which is a reflection on their amazing attitude. It is
hard to really express how special this trip really was for us..

Our trip was an absolute blast and a 5-star experience top to bottom. I speak for our
whole group when I say this was a great experience and the lodging/staff could not have
been better. I will add some details below, but you all have it figured out! Lodge- Sierra
Verde was as beautiful as the pictures on the internet showed. The staff at the house was
even better. Julia and the rest of the crew took great care of us and were always one step
ahead of us if there was ever anything needed. This was the nicest experience I have had
from a lodging/staff standpoint. Food- The food was incredible. The chef at the house did
a great job and the lunches in the field were equally impressive. Hunting- The hunting
exceeding our already high expectations. Obviously the birds were everywhere, but the bird
boys made the experience even better. We had a great time with them and an unforgettable
hunting experience. Guns: Guns were great, no issues. Guides and Field Assistants- See
above comment, they were fantastic and were a huge part of the great experience we had.
Equipment- Everything done on the entire trip was first class. Thanks again for providing

Dani, Pato and all of the staff were amazing. They were all so kind and welcoming. The
service has been above and beyond from the beginning. The food was also phenomenal; we

The best part of our trip which surpassed expectations was the people of Guayascate
Alex and Zeke, I have been wanting to travel to Argentina to hunt doves since I was
16…When I was finally able to make that dream a reality some 14 years later choosing a
destination was not easy. From what I read and learned from those that visited frequently
was most everyone had quality dove shoots, very few didn't. Most came back speaking of the
people and the amenities. The best part of our trip which surpassed expectations was the
people of Guayascate. As I believe HYH knows the people of any quality business are what
makes it successful. Furthermore: The Lodge: I enjoyed that it felt like home and that the
cleaning staff was always doing their job, but we never knew they were there. The TV had
some issues working, but the staff did their part to try and fix it while we were there.
It truly was out of control of the staff. The Food: We spent 12 days in Argentina and ate
at some fantastic places in BA and Mendoza. We were pleased with all the food at
Guyascate. The only suggestion would have been to have more input in the meals with the
Chef, there were only two of us so this might have been easy, I can see where it would be
hard with a larger group. The hunting: I enjoy shooting flyways over the roost, but both
were fun to see. I look forward to the roost near the lodge to come back to cut down on
driving times. The only hunt that was poor was the morning we left. We needed to stay
close to the lodge, but there just wasn't much of a flyway to hunt close. Guides and Field
Assistants: Francisco, Miguel and Coro made the entire trip for Anne and I they went above
and beyond for us and by the end made us want to come to see them again. You are lucky to
have those 3 fine people working for you. I will hunt in the future wherever Francis is
guiding. I hope he stays with HYH, but he is as good as it gets. Miguel and Coro are
obviously some of your best, and represented well. Guns/Equipment: they were good, no
complaints See you back in the near future. I will be requesting Francis as my groups
guide and Miguel as my field assistant.

The hunting was incredible
The Lodge: The lodge was immaculate and beautifully appointed. It was truly a First Class
Lodge with incredible amenities and plenty of areas to relax and take in the day. The
indoor spa was fantastic, as was the outdoor fireplace! The Food: The food was
exceptional, some of the best I've ever had, if not the absolute best. Every meal was
remarkable. The quality and amount of food they serve is almost overwhelming. Nicolas is
truly a top notch chef. The Hunting: The hunting was incredible. You can shoot as many
dove as you can possibly handle, and as many as your shoulder will bear. You can easily
shoot 1,000-2,000 birds/day or more without much strain or difficultly. 7 of us shot over
18,000 birds in 3 days and we did not have to hunt long hours. The Guns: I used two
Beretta over/under 20 gauges every day and I never had 1 jam. They take extreme care of
their shotguns, and it pays off. I have had issues with guns jamming at past lodges, but
not here! The Guides and field assistants: Edgar & Bartello were both exceptional guides,
and the bird boys were some of the best I've ever hunted with after 5 trips. All 7 of us
had great experiences with our bird boys, and we all will greatly miss hunting with them.
They were very accommodating & professional, and every one of them was pleasant to be
around. The Equipment: Anything we needed they had – from shooting pads & ear plugs to
comfortable chairs, hammocks, & ample coolers. Nothing is lacking!

Exceeded our expectations

first class. While our last trip was to Guayascate, and we didn't think that was possible

Truly spectacular hunting each year
Hi Zeke: I honestly can say after 13 yrs with HYH at Rio Seco, La Loma and La Porteñita
that the McGehee Group would not consider any other outfitter. I'm not sure, from a
shooters perspective, that there can be any improvement to the current experience at La
Porteñita. Pato, Calolo and Daniela are world class hosts and the gun boys and house staff
are fantastic. Porteñita is better than any Four Seasons I have ever stayed in. The beds
and linens are SOOOO comfortable. The laundry service and boot cleaning are nice extras.
The cuisine, both in the field and at the lodge, is stellar. As a life-long amateur cook,
I don't think the food can be improved upon. The shooting remains as good as it has ever
been. I keep thinking that one year the shooting will be sub-par but, amazingly it gets
better each year! Pato knows the type of birds we like and always strives to get us the
fast crossers, high birds and incomers as well as a mixed bag of presentations each trip.
Truly spectacular hunting each year! We are all competitive Sporting Clays shooters so we
bring our guns every year. Obviously, this adds to the travel "hassle factor" but is well
worth the trouble. I bring a pair of 28g Perazzi's and the confidence and genuine pleasure
I get from shooting these fine guns is priceless. I offer high praise indeed for the HYH
bird boys! I'm always impressed by how many years they have been with the company and how
much they all enjoy their work. They each have a contagious, positive attitude and a
fabulous sense of humor. Every day in the field is made more special by their good
natured, can-do attitude. Regarding the equipment...the new Mercedes vans are super
comfortable. Pato and the staff keep them spotless every day. We encountered rain and
muddy roads one day and the van was washed in and out, clean for the next morning's hunt.
What makes La Porteñita so special is the fantastic staff. Daniella, Pato and Calolo are
wonderfully gracious people without a hint of pretention. They are always attentive to any
special requests and are happy, warm-hearted people who make us feel that La Porteñita is

The shooting was the best
Feedback you requested is as follows The Lodge: for me to comment on the lodge is a bit
unfair, if I hadn't stayed at Guayascate previously I would say the lodge was great, the
rooms were presented well, clean and the staff very attentive and nothing was to much
trouble. The Lodge gave more of an intimate homely feel than Guayascate. The Food: the
quality of the food was excellent, the quantity at times to much The Hunting: being my
fourth trip with you I think the shooting was the best so far, being British I like to
think we go for quality more than quantity and the guides did their upmost to put us under
quality birds. The Guns: for the first time I did have a faulty gun but this was changed,
the Beretta's to me are perfect for the job The Guides and field assistants: Faultless, I
will give you the name of my guide as would like him again when I visit Guayascate in
March. To sum up it was a fantastic trip with good fiends, made even more pleasurable by
your staff's service and attention on every level, well done.

Once again we had a great trip with you last week. The lodge,food,service and general
ambiance is fantastic. We were fortunate to have some of your new guns so we had less
misfires than in previous years. Pato and Collolo are a credit to your company and matched
our wish to shoot high birds with the locations they picked for us. There is one bit of
mild criticism: Everyone is very friendly,helpful and charming but we still find Daniela a
bit stiff and formal. We had a highly enjoyable three days.

The lodge was beautiful and very well decorated the grounds where beautiful and well
manicured. Daniela and staff treated us like we where kings and that is so much
appreciated for normal country boys. The chef did an exceptional job with every meal and I
managed to gain 7lbs on this trip. No complaints here I will work it off This was my first
time in Argentina and the first hunt I was so confused and did not no which bird to even
shoot at. We where not blessed with the best of weather and where limited to fields but
Pato did a great job making sure we where at every hunt on time and that everything was in
place for us to have a great adventure The guns where well maintained and serviced daily.
I had no problems and chose an over and under for the entire hunt being that I shoot left
handed. The only recommendation I would have here is maybe a few left handed automatics
but not complaining. Pato is the best and listening to him and his brother go at it about
who is best at everything is so entertaining and extremely funny. I loved those guys. As
far as the field assistance I was so lucky to receive Marcelo. He has to be the best. He
improved my shooting from 60% first day to 86% on the last. He was so patient with me and
continued to make me a better hunter. When I come back I will definitely request Marcelo
and I hope you pass this on to him. The equipment was all clean and well maintained I
thank H & H for providing me and my friends the absolute best time of my life and I can't
wait for my next hunt with H & H Outfitters. Thank you thank you thank you

The Hunting was phenomenal, more birds than I have ever seen in one location. It is very
apparent you all have taken great measures to ensure an exceptional experience hunting in
Argentina
The Lodge was perfect for our group of seven. Jessica, Theresa, Daniel and Daniella took
very good care of every aspect. The hot tub was soothing after a day in the field and the
fire pit was ideal after dinner. The Food was great with more than adequate portions,
dessert, wine with very nice service. I realize beef in a big part of Argentinian culture
but I did eat more beef than I normally consume in a month or two. My only comment is
maybe a little more variety and possibly pasta dish. The Hunting was phenomenal, more
birds than I have ever seen in one location. I hunted dove, quail and ducks in Mexico
years ago and Argentina is hands down light years ahead as far as birds and the
accommodations. Texas can never compare with the number of birds. The guns were great
especially considering the number of rounds fired. One gun had a problem and Emi pulled
out a third gun as a backup but resolved the issue with the original gun. I'm guessing it
will need a repair as part of the chamber housing actually broke with a piece of metal
falling out of the gun. The Guides and field crew did an super job. Edgar was very good
explaining anything we asked and seemed to have a lot of general knowledge about Argentina
as well as the hunting. Bartolo prepared a fabulous lunch in the field with all the
trimmings. Hammocks in the trees, water to wash our hands, wine, dessert and much more. My
guide was Emi performed an outstanding job, spoke English well, provided great music as
requested, oiled and maintained the guns, loaded an incredible amount of ammunition,
prepared a blind as needed and was a pleasure to hunt with for 3 days. The Equipment was
fine with no misses, the van, trucks, chuck wagon trailer and etc. The van was comfortable
and it was nice for the whole group to ride together for the camaraderie sharing the
experience. The fire pit area was really nice for to all sit around the fire enjoying a
cocktail and visiting with old friends. It is very apparent you all have taken great
measures to ensure an exceptional experience hunting in Argentina. Also, all of the
employees seemed to really enjoy their job, joking around and having fun with each other
while still providing outstanding service. This tells me the owners provide a nice work
environment for their employees. We have all talked about returning next year, I know I

“Leaving La Porteñita was like leaving home.”
Alex and Zeke, As you know I have visited you several times since 1995, but July 8-14,
2014, was the best trip ever, because I took my entire family. The first complaint that I
heard, 10 minutes after we arrived, was from my youngest daughter which is 17 years old.
She told me the staff was "too polite and helpful". The only other complaint was the day
we left, my oldest daughter, which is 23, said she was sad because "leaving La Porteñita
was like leaving home".
I cannot thank your staff enough for the experience that they made possible for my family.
We have not stopped talking about Pato, Danielta, Claudio and the friends they all made
with the guides. You have a great staff at La Porteñita. My oldest daughter just called to
let me know that she already had the flight information for the next trip.

Alex and Zeke, The only thing bad about the trip is the flight down there. You need to
move Argentina a little closer to Texas! Your staff, the lodge, the food and of course the
shooting were all first class. My group has already talked about returning in two years.
When we return we are going to skip BA and stay at the lodge an extra two days. Thank you

I can only speak for myself, but in all the times hunting in Argentina and Uruguay, this
has been the best of the best. The staff, the staff, they provided all one could ask for
and more... Any company would be lucky to have the quality that you have put together. The
lodge, the food, and your men in the field, are the best prepared and professional I have
seen. I thank you all, and look forward in hunting with y'all next year..

I want to start off by thanking HYH Outfitters on behalf of our whole group this week. As
we all know traveling to a new country can be very stressful and fearful if you are not
with the proper people. When we were greeted by Gabby in BA it made sure we were safe from
the time the trip started. She took us to a local spot of her choice for lunch. They were
not open for lunch, but she made it happen. Shortly later she got us to the other BA
airport and helped us with no problems. With a safe arrival in Cordoba we were met by
Edgar (what a great man). He got us loaded and to Sierra Verde. From arrival to departure
he was first class. I have never seen someone so welcoming, polite, respectful and
professional with his job in all of our world travels! We arrive to Sierra Verde meeting
Theresa, one of the hardest working and generous person I have ever met. When it came to
the lodging and hunting it was nothing short of first class! The bird guys we all made
friends with and were the best. You could honestly tell they love there job and employer.
On behalf of all of us I want to thank you all for your help making this such a streamline
operation. Please forward this to Alex and Zeke for such a wonderful experience. I took
several brochures to put at our hunting facility to help push business your way. We will
be back!!
